This list contains apps, reading, tools, and courses that have been a part of my journey. In the case where there might be an affiliate option, I may use it, but that is not my motivation here. I want to provide a list of resources that I have experience with and that might help you decide what’s most useful to you.

The Unified Mindfulness CORE training is a self-paced video program that provides an excellent introduction to mindfulness. It contains 10 videos and questions to help reinforce learning.

The Brightmind mobile app provides a convenient “Journey” as well as a library of guided meditations from many instructors trained in the Unified Mindfulness approach. In this sense, it is compatible with Core and Unified Mindfulness.

The Calm mobile app is a robust collection of meditation programs including guided meditations. Check out “How to Meditate” as well as the ongoing guided series “The Daily Trip” by Jeff Warren. Jeff is trained by Shinzen Young, which makes these compatible with Unified Mindfulness.

The Waking Up app was created by Sam Harris and the introductory course contains equal parts theory and practice. While the other courses I list would be considered “dual” forms of mindfulness, Waking Up will attempt to introduce “non-dual” approaches. One of the biggest strengths of Waking Up is the robust list of conversations with respected mindfulness trainers.
